Create a supply without revision control

This topic will teach you how to create a supply from scratch.

To this end, simply follow the steps below:

1st step: Create a supply type

A supply type classifies the supplies that will be created in the system. The configurations of a type are applied to all supplies that will be classified by it. Moreover, it is possible to filter the searches in order for the system to look for the supplies of a certain type.

To create a supply type, go to the SU023 menu and click on the button.

On the screen that will open, enter "RM01" as the ID # and "Production raw materials" as the name for the supply type.

In the General tab, fill in the following fields also:

  • Responsible team: Select the team that will be responsible for all supplies classified by this type. As a result, when a supply is created, the responsible team entered in this field will be shown. If there is none, click on the button next to the field. On the screen that will open, enter an ID # and a name for the team and save it. In the Member tab, associate your user with the team and click on the button.
  • Measurement unit: Set the unit through which the supplies of this type will be measured. As a result, when a supply is created, the selected measurement unit will be shown. If there is no record previously created in your environment, click on the button next to the field and, on the screen that will open, enter an ID # and the name of the desired measurement unit, and click on the button.

After doing that, click on the button.

2nd step: Create a supply

With the type added in the previous step, it is possible to create supplies in the system. To do so, go to the SU008 menu and click on the button.

Then, on the screen that will open, select the type created in the previous step to classify the supply.

On the creation screen that will open, enter an ID # for it. If you prefer to generate a sequential ID #, click on the arrow next to the field.

In the Name field, enter the name "Sodium nitrite" for the supply.

Note that the Responsibility team and Measurement unit fields are completed with the team and default unit set in the type.

Finally, on the supply data screen, click on Save. Thus, the record is finished!

Repeat the procedure described above to create another two supplies: Salt and Oil. They will be used later to create a structure for the supply.
